Sergio Perez 2022 Monaco Helmet Enamel Pin

This is a 1.25 inch soft enamel pin of Sergio Perez's special edition helmet from the 2022 Monaco Grand Prix

Sergio "Checo" Perez is one of the most experienced Formula 1 drivers currently active in the sport. His first season in F1 stared in 2011 racing for Sauber, after an impressive first two seasons with the team he moved to McLaren for the next season. 2013 was a disappointing year for McLaren achieving no podiums and finishing 5th in the constructors championship. The team felt Perez was partly to blame for their poor performance and dropped him at the end of the season.

For 2014 Sergio joined Force India and would stay with the team until 2020. It was during this time that Perez gained a reputation as a fast and reliable driver, while also being kind to his tires. Towards the end of the 2020 season Sergio had put to use all his experience and speed to take a spectacular win in Bahrain, this first of his long career. However it would not be his last.

In 2021 Perez joined Red Bull finishing that season 4th in the drivers championship while also getting his second win in Baku. He has stayed at Red Bull for the 2022 season and at the Monaco GP he revealed a special tribute helmet to Pedro Rodriguez. The design was inspired Rodriguez's own helmet when he was racing. Pedro Rodriguez and Sergio Perez are the only Mexican drivers to win in F1, and fittingly Sergio when on to win the Monaco GP while wearing his tribute helmet.
